Antonine Baths

Photogalery of Carthage
Google maps: 36°51'16"N 10°20'05"E

The Antonine Baths come from second century and in the time it was the largest spa in Africa. The impressive dome was resting on eight lofty pillars of gray sandstone. In 439 the spas were destroyed by Vandals. Today they remain only the ruins, which include only a few rooms and arches fractions. The complex is nevertheless very impressive.
