International Aiport Tunis-Carthage (IATA: TUN, ICAO: DTTA) was open in 1948. It is a main tunisian airport serving Tunis capitol. Since the beginning, it is also a main hub of Tunisair  company. Currently, the airport is used as home hub also by Tunisair Express and Syphax .
In 1997 and 2005 the main airport terminal (Terminal M) was expanded and recently has a capactity about 5 milion passengers per year. In 2006 was opened new terminal (Terminal 2). This terminal is using for charter flights.
There are no hotels within the airport, nut the hotels are not far from airport. More information here.
Terminal M is main airport terminal, consisting of two floors. Arrival in ground floor and Departure in first floor. The terminal offers only basic services as ticket offices, travel agency offices, car rental companies, the cafes, one restaurant, suvenir shops, pharmacy, cell phone providers, hairdresser, post office and some banks.
Terminal M offers 4 business lounges available only for business class and VIP passangers. Two lounges are provided by Tunisair (one in arrival zone, one in departure zone), two lounges are provided by AVS Company (one in arrival zone, one in departure zone).
In front of Terminal for is parking space for 2.500 cars. The fees are applied.
Terminal 2 offers every 10 minutes shuttle service to Terminal M. In front of Terminal 2 is free of charge parking space for 500 cars.
The airport offers only bus, taxi and car rental services.
- Bus - the airport is connect with Tunis by bus number 35. The bus leaves airport every 30 minutes. The journey time is approx. 30 minutes and it costs 760 millimes. More information about local bus transportation is here.
- Long-distance busses - there are 2 direct bus lines connecting the airport and cities of Bizerte and Nabeul.

- Car rental companies - There are several car rental companies at the arrival hall as Avis , Budget , Hertz , Sixt or some local companies.
Tunis airport offers for frequent and business travelers VIP services. The services are provided by AVS Company .
